Atlantis is a platform for branch specific applications that concentrates on building, managing and putting at one’s disposal multimedia information through standalone, local networks, Intranet and Internet infrastructures.
The application “Botanic Garden” is a standard application on the Atlantis platform for collection management in Botanical Gardens. The database and program design was done in cooperation with DEVENTit and the Botanical Gardens of the universities of Utrecht, Amsterdam, Delft, Leiden and Wageningen in the Netherlands. Now it's in use by other Botanical Gardens in the Netherlands as well.
Since the 3rd Botanical Gardens Congress in Wuhan China, the application is available for Botanical Gardens World Wide.
